White House video shows behind-the-scenes look at night of bin Laden's death

The White House today is revealing some behind-the-scenes video from the night Osama bin Laden was killed - including footage of Vice President Joe Biden phoning what appears to be an unnamed congressional leader to inform him or her of the news.

The video also depicts President Obama congratulating key advisers on leading the raid that led to bin Laden's death.

"Good job, National Security team," the president says, shaking the hands of several top advisers.

"I'm proud of you," he adds, to CIA Director Leon Panetta. "Your guys did a great job."

"They did," Panetta agrees, to laughter.

The most recent installation of the White House's weekly "West Wing Week" video, entitled "A Good Day For America," presents a triumphant timeline of the president's week: Mr. Obama is depicted visiting families affected by the violent storms that swept the South last week, speaking at a college graduation, lauding teachers recently recognized for outstanding performance, and ribbing his colleagues at the White House Correspondents' dinner.

And special emphasis is placed, of course, on the death of Osama bin Laden.

In addition to the behind-the-scenes footage from the night of bin Laden's death, the video includes clips from Mr. Obama's Sunday night speech announcing the al Qaeda leader's death, as well as his Thursday trip to New York City to attend a wreath-laying in honor the victims of 9/11 and their families.

"When those guys took those extraordinary risks going into Pakistan...they were doing it in part because of the sacrifices that were made in this state," Mr. Obama tells New York firefighters during an appearance at a Manhattan firehouse, as depicted in the video. "They were doing it in the name of your brothers that were lost."
