What Was Lady Gaga's New Year's News?
NEW YORK (CBS) Lady Gaga took to Twitter to announce the release date of her forthcoming album, "Born This Way."
Right at midnight on Saturday, Gaga wrote that the album will be dropped on May 23, 2011. The first single will be released on Feb. 13, which is also the day of the Grammy Awards.
"THE SONG 2 13 11 THE RECORD 5 23 11," the 24-year-old singer said before posting a photo of herself nude from the waist down, with her back to the camera, and wearing a denim jacket adorned with a unicorn and the album's title.
She also shared a few lyrics from the title track: "Don't hide yourself in regret, just love yourself and you're set. I'm on the right track baby, I was Born This Way."
"Born This Way" is a follow-up to Gaga's breakthrough album, "The Fame Monster," which sold nearly 6 million copies in 2010.
