Watch: "The Hills" alternate ending revealed
"The Hills" were alive with the sound of squeeing when MTV announced in June it would cap off 2013's Retro MTV Brunch by airing the never-before-seen alternate ending to the reality series.
The original, slightly controversial, ending played up implications that "The Hills" was entirely fake by pulling back on Kristin Cavallari's big goodbye to Brody Jenner's and revealing a soundstage.
The alternate ending that just debuted on MTV still features Brody bidding Europe-bound Kristin a fond farewell (and that amazing reworked version of "Unwritten"), but then cuts to Brody returning home to find Lauren Conrad on his couch! Apparently she was his "mystery girlfriend" all along! #TeamLCForLife
