Watch: NBA star Kevin Love shaves head to support breast cancer awareness

Kevin Love may be sidelined until December with a broken hand but he's still making good use of his time.

The Minnesota Timberwolves star and Olympic gold medal winner released this video to raise money for breast cancer awareness. To show solidarity with women who lose their hair to chemotherapy, Love decided to shave his head.

The barber? None other than Arizona Cardinals star Larry Fitzgerald. Fitzgerald razzed Love about how rough and bumpy the NBA big man's head is.

"I only cut him one time so I'm proud of that," the NFL receiver joked.

Later, Fitzgerald explained why the cause is close to his heart: He lost his mother to cancer nine years ago.

"Kevin and I are here today to make sure nobody else has to lose a mother, a sister, a daughter to this disease," he said.

October is Breast Cancer Awareness month and pro athletes have been championing the cause. NFL players have worn pink shoes and hats and officials will be using pink penalty flags for Sunday's game after an 11-year-old wrote Commissioner Roger Goodell with the suggestion.
