Voter to Clinton: "Please Make This About Us!"

ANDERSON, S.C. -- After wrapping up a campaign speech and opening up the floor to questions, what Hillary Clinton did not expect was a voter who wanted to give the press a piece of her mind.
"We do not care about people's color or their gender, we care about finding a leader!" said Kathy Adams, a lawyer from South Carolina, to strong applause.
She then pleaded with Clinton not to "bait" the press and to refocus the election on the people of South Carolina.
"This election is not about them, it's about us. Ok, so please stop baiting these people and let them talk about what we care about: the war, education, senior care…this is about us, please make it about us!" Adams said, visibly growing more upset.
Adams took exception to the perception that the media has been portraying the Palmetto State as deeply divided by race.
"I want to say this because I want it heard all over this country: This is not the South you are trying to portray."
Clinton echoed her frustrations saying, "Amen, Amen, Amen, Amen. Absolutely. You know everywhere I go I say this election is not about those of us who are running, it is about all of you. It is about your families and your future and you gotta take this election back. You can't let anybody characterize it for you can't get diverted or detoured about what is important."
Adams comments come a day after Bill Clinton said "shame on you" to a reporter who asked him about race in the South Carolina campaign.
