Vikings Re-Sign Ed McDaniel
The Minnesota Vikings signed free agent linebacker Ed McDaniel to a five-year deal Thursday.
McDaniel, who just finished his seventh season with the Vikings, was the team's leading tackler in 1998 and was named to the Pro Bowl for the first time in his career.
McDaniel, one of five Vikings defensive starters who were free agents, has been the Vikings' leading tackler in three of the last four seasons.
Three defensive free-agent starters are still unsigned: nose tackle Jerry Ball, lineman Derrick Alexander and safety Orlando Thomas.
Cornerback Corey Fuller signed with the Cleveland Browns on Tuesday.
