View HTML E-mail on Your BlackBerry

bbsmart.jpgEveryone knows BlackBerrys are da bomb when it comes to e-mail -- so why can't they handle something as simple as HTML-formatted messages? I'm not sure, but at least there's a third-party fix: BBSmart for BlackBerry opens HTML e-mails without a hitch, displaying images, smileys, and colors and cutting down on hyperlink clutter. The program also lets you change the background color and font size/style of incoming e-mail.

Those features alone probably wouldn't justify BBSmart's $24.99 price tag, but thankfully it does more than just improve appearances. For instance, you can add e-mails to your calendar or task list (much like in Outlook), add notes to e-mail you've received, and insert commonly used text (like signatures) using customizable templates.

BBSmart works on virtually all BlackBerry models running OS 4.0.2 or later. There's a trial version available, but it lasts for just four days. Take it for a spin, then hit the Comments and let us know if you liked it.
