VIDEO: Masked robbers crash into Md. gas station in pickup truck to steal ATM, report says
(CBS) FORT WASHINGTON, Md. - Two men drove a pickup a truck through the front of an Exxon gas station in Prince Georges County, Md. and stole the ATM inside early Friday morning, according to CBS affiliate WUSA.
The station reports police said the vehicle was intentionally rammed into the gas station and the thieves pulled the ATM from the wreckage.
The owner, who was in the back room at the time of the robbery told CBS DC that the ATM had approximately $1,500 in it.
According to WUSA, the robbers were caught on surveillance video wearing ski masks and driving the dark-colored truck.
Another similar incident reportedly happened just hours later at a different Exxon gas station in Northeast DC, also with two men in a dark truck with at least one of them wearing a mask.
No injuries were reported in either case
