VIDEO: Attempted rape caught on tape as NYC woman fights off attacker

(CBS) NEW YORK - Police are looking for a man caught on video trying to rape a 30-year-old woman who was walking her dog in an Upper Manhattan neighborhood over the weekend, according to CBS New York.

In the video, the suspect is seen grabbing the woman from behind and trying to take off her clothes at 7 a.m. Sunday.

Police say the woman was reportedly able to fight off the man and the attacker fled the scene.

Police have released additional surveillance footage that shows the suspect following the woman before grabbing her from behind.

The suspect is described as a black male, 25-30 years-old, standing about 5'11'' tall and weighing about 180 pounds. Police reportedly said he was last seen wearing a white t-shirt, blue denim shorts and a brown or red baseball cap.
