Usher, Darius Rucker join Blake Shelton's Oklahoma benefit

Usher and Darius Rucker have joined the lineup for the Oklahoma benefit concert organized and headlined by Blake Shelton.

"Healing in the Heartland: Relief Benefit Concert" is set for May 29 at the Chesapeake Energy Arena in Oklahoma City, and will raise funds for the United Way of Central Oklahoma May Tornadoes Relief Fund.

The concert will be broadcast on NBC starting at 9 p.m. ET, and will also air on cable networks Style, G4, Bravo, E! and CMT on either a live or delayed basis.

Usher, a coach with Shelton on "The Voice,"and Rucker join a roster of performers that also includes Miranda Lambert, Luke Bryan, Rascal Flatts, Ryan Tedder of OneRepublic, Reba and Vince Gill.

"Everyone has their way to help, and mine as an entertainer is to perform to help raise money and awareness for this tragedy," Shelton, an Oklahoma native, said in a statement. "This is why I want to do this special and especially hold it in Oklahoma City, which is near ground zero."

Tickets for the benefit concert went on sale Saturday morning and sold out in less than five minutes, NBC said.

The United Way of Oklahoma City plans to use the funds raised for immediate, intermediate and long-term recovery and rebuilding efforts in Oklahoma following the tornadoes that devastated the town of Moore last week.
