Use Twitter to Connect with Customers

twitter-logo.jpgWant a cheap, easy, effective way to keep in touch with customers while at the same time promoting your business as a forward-thinking, media-savvy enterprise? Get Twittering. BizFeed suggests four ways you can leverage Twitter to connect with customers, starting with this:

Be yourself. Twitter lets you post blurbs of up to 140 characters; it's good for a quick note about what you're doing. But you can also use it to build buzz within a fanbase by referencing things that aren't quite public. (Or let customers track your sales.) People will follow you on Twitter if they think you'll reveal news first, and that audience is likely to blog about it somewhere.
The author also recommends turning your company mascot into your Twitter persona, using Twitter to discover what customers are saying about you, and keeping your posts to a minimum so you don't overwhelm followers.
