Upgrade Your Resume

resumehack.jpgSeveral folks, including the former Notre Dame football coach and the former MIT dean of admissions, can tell you that upgrading your resume isn't as simple as adding on fake life experiences.

Instead, you need to put as good a face as possible on what you've already got. Over at Life Clever, Chanpory Rith teaches you how to do just that. Without getting into subjective stuff like what you should include or excise, she instead focuses on presentation and style. That means switching fonts from Times to Georgia; getting rid of indents to keep focus; and adding lines all the way across the page to break up text. Feel like that's too much formatting to handle? Chanpory includes a Microsoft Word template of her suggestions that you can fill in with your relevant details. Like that time you were totally on the Supreme Court.
