U.K. channel scraps film about fake London Marathon attack
The Boston Marathon bombings have sent shock waves around the world, and on Tuesday the tragedy prompted a U.K. channel to pull the film "Four Lions" from its upcoming lineup.
The movie, which features actor Benedict Cumberbatch and appeared at the Sundance Film Festival in 2010, is a fake story about British Muslim men detonating explosives at the London Marathon.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, a spokesman for Channel 4 said, "In light of recent tragic events, Film4 has decided not to proceed with the planned broadcast of 'Four Lions,' which was scheduled for Monday."
The IMDB description of "Four Lions" notes the film is about "four incompetent British jihadists" who "set out to train for and commit an act of terror."
"Four Lions" was scheduled to air on Monday, April 21, a day after the London Marathon is set to take place. The channel will air the comedy "Role Models" instead, reports THR.
