Track a Package by Sending an Email

ups-fedex-logos.jpgThere are lots of ways to track packages when you're out and about, but it's hard to imagine a simpler method than this: Compose a new e-mail on your mobile phone. Leave the subject line blank; put the tracking number in the body of the message. Address it to track@fedex.com or totaltrack@ups.com. Hit Send and presto: In moments you'll get a reply containing shipping status.

Of course, savvy Google users know that you can enter any tracking number into the search box and immediately get a link to the corresponding package-tracking page. It's also possible to use Twitter and a service called Track This to keep tabs on your packages. Know a better method? Hit the Comments and spill it. [via Digital Inspiration]
