Toread Sends Web Sites to Your Inbox
Want to remember a Web site for later? Sure, you could bookmark it, but that doesn't ensure you'll actually remember to revisit it. When I want to keep a site front and center in my mind, I use toread, a handy service that sends Web pages to my inbox.
Specifically, toread (to read, get it?) copies the contents of the currently visible page and e-mails it to me along with the site's URL. All this happens with the single click of the toread bookmarklet, which is a snap to add to any browser.
Because I use Xmarks (formerly Foxmarks) to keep my bookmarks in sync across all my PCs, toread is available to me on my desktop, laptop, netbook, etc. I use it most often while traveling, as I frequently encounter sites that I want to remember to return to when I get home.
This isn't a new service; it's actually been around for a couple years. Consequently, I'd say toread deserves a spot in the pantheon of all-time great bookmarklets.
