Tom Cruise rocks out on "Rock of Ages" set (Photo)

(CBS) Tom Cruise is rocking out for "Rock of Ages."

The actor, who plays Stacee Jaxx in the big-screen adaptation of the Broadway musical celebrating '80s rock music, shared a photo from the set on his blog.

Cruise is seen striking a pose on stage, sporting long hair and without a shirt.

Earlier this month, director Adam Shankman shared a photo of Alec Baldwin and Russell Brand on the film's set. Baldwin plays Dennis, owner of the bar The Bourbon Room. Brand plays Lonny, the musical's narrator.

The film, which also stars Catherine Zeta-Jones, Julianne Hough and Mary J. Blige, is scheduled to open in theaters on June 1, 2012.
