Timberlake & Johansson Team Up

Justin Timberlake's new video, "What Goes Around ... Comes Around," features Scarlett Johansson and debuts this week.

Nick Cassavetes, who wrote and directed "Alpha Dogs," wrote the dialog for the video, which stars the actress and Timberlake's "Alpha Dog" co-star Shawn Hatosy.

"We turned the video into a short film," Timberlake told MTV recently. "It's a drama. It's serious."

Since his split from Cameron Diaz, there have been reports linking the pop singer with Johansson.

They reportedly got cozy at the Hennessey Super Bowl afterparty at Mokai, where, spies tell the New York Post, "they were talking, dancing, holding hands all night — it was very cozy."

Us Weekly reported last month that Timberlake's decision to cast Johansson in the video pushed his relationship with Diaz to the breaking point.

"(Cameron) could not believe he went behind her back to put her in the video," a friend of Timberlake's told the magazine. "Cameron was very jealous of Scarlett."

Diaz and Timberlake announced the end of their relationship Jan. 11. The couple had dated since 2003.

Johansson and Timberlake were spotted together early Monday at a post-Super Bowl party in Miami, but according to People magazine, they "did not appear romantic."

The video for "What Goes Around … Comes Around" will be on sale at iTunes on Feb. 9 and Feb. 10, and will then air during MTV's Grammy Red Carpet show on Sunday, Feb. 11.

The video for the ballad was directed by Sam Baer, whose credits include Nirvana's "Smells Like Teen Spirit," Blind Melon's "Rain" and Green Day's "Boulevard of Broken Dreams."

Timberlake has four Grammy nominations including album of the year.
