Thomas Mortimer IV on the Run? Arrest Warrant Issued for Quadruple Homicide Suspect

WINCHESTER, Mass. (CBS/AP) Police are asking for help locating 43-year-old Thomas Mortimer IV, who has now been named as a suspect in the murder of his family.

State Police along with the Winchester Police have obtained an arrest warrant for Mortimer and are charging him with for four counts of murder for the death of his wife Laura Stone Mortimer, his mother-in-law Ellen Ragna Stone, his 4-year-old son Thomas "Finn" Mortimer, and his 2-year-old daughter Charlotte Mortimer. They have now released a photo of Mortimer and the type of car he is believed to be driving.

It is believed the murder suspect is driving a silver or light gray Toyota Highlander, license plate 81VJ58.

The bodies of Mortimer's family members were found inside their suburban home in Winchester Wednesday morning.

A relative had called police prior to the gruesome discovery because she had not had contact with them since Monday evening.

Firefighters arrived on the scene and knocked the door down, revealing the crime scene.
