It was a week for celebrity sleuthing as gossip hounds tried to solve mysteries like who kidnapped Jennifer Lopez's waistline and what sent Bobby Brown to the hospital.

On Thursday morning, the swarm of media outside a Los Angeles courthouse was told that the pop star wouldn't be present at a hearing to expand visitation rights to her kids. But Spears ended up making an appearance in the afternoon. The judge ruled in her favor.

Where in the world is Lindsay Lohan? The actress left a Utah rehab facility to return to Los Angeles where she's filming a part in a new movie. But she says she has no plans to hit the Hollywood nightclubs and will be returning to Utah after she's finished work on the film.

Did Bobby Brown have a heart attack or a check-up? His lawyer said in an interview Wednesday that he had a heart attack, but the singer denied those claims later in the day saying he went to the hospital for a routine exam.

Did Anna Nicole Smith's nannies spill the beans or not?A lawyer for two women who worked for Smith said Monday a new book falsely uses them as a source for a claim the former Playboy Playmate's lawyer had a videotaped sexual encounter with her boyfriend.

The guy who plays Jack Bauer got out of a real-life jam when he was allowed to serve the majority his sentence during the show's winter production break. After that he will have until the summer of 2008 to complete the sentence.
