Mixed messages
A day after a speech meant to clarify his immigration policies, Donald Trump continued to send mixed messages. He’s now facing even greater friction with Hispanic supporters, who may be vital to his campaign if he hopes to catch up with Hillary Clinton in the polls.
New No. 2
Donald Trump has a new deputy campaign manager, effective immediately. It’s David Bossie, the longtime president of Citizens United, a conservative group best known for the Supreme Court case that overturned campaign financing laws. We look at the longstanding personal and political relationship between the men.

Horrid Hermine
Since downgraded to tropical storm status, Hermine slammed into Florida’s Gulf Coast overnight as a hurricane -- the state’s first direct hit in more than a decade -- sending huge waves into docks and boathouses. She’s expected to continue north up the East Coast, bringing huge storm surges and dangerous rainfall with her.
