This is Google Instant. Discuss.

Google's big announcement today: Google Instant. It takes search-results-as-you-type a step further by showing you the actual links, not just matching search terms. Take a look:

Now, assuming you could get past the unintentionally hilarious "zetabyte barrier" line (didn't the Enterprise cross that in one of the Star Trek movies?), you'll see that Google Instant is all about saving you from having to press enter or click Search. Ooo!

Seriously, this looks very cool, and Google says it will save you 2-5 seconds per search. If you typically run 20 searches per day, that's upwards of eight minutes per week. Or half an hour per month. Not much, but time saved is time saved.

Google Instant will roll out over the next couple days. Give it a try, then let us know what you think of it. Game-changer, or much ado about not-clicking?
