The Touch That Means "I Love You"

Darrin Zeer, an author of "Lovers' Massage: Soothing Touch for Two," dropped by The Saturday Early Show to show some massage techniques you can practice on your Valentine.

As he pointed out, massage is a great way for couples to soothe each other's aching muscles, and it's also a great way for couples to bond. You can even use the techniques with a good friend.

He says his book is meant as a simple guide to help busy people to relax, be intimate and have fun together. Actually, couples can be their own stress-management team as they connect with each other and chill out.

Here are some of the techniques that he demonstrated on The Saturday Early Show:

Love Taps: A wonderful way to ease aching back muscles. It wakes up your body and instantly helps you relax.

Helping Hug: This is an intimate way to loosen tight shoulder muscales and give your partner a hug at the same time.

Fulfilling Facial: Our face gets very tight from smiling and frowning. Applying gentle pressure with your fingertips on the facial area is very soothing. Be very gentle and slow in your movements, and ask your partner how it feels.

Neck and Scalp Serenity: It's a great combination to massage the neck and scalp simultaneously. It provides instant relaxation. Ask permission from your partner to mess up their hair!

Healing Massage: Zeer says he created this move especially for women, who may have smaller and weaker hands than men. Just lie back and rub your heels along both sides of your partner's spine. Rub into the tight muscles between the spine and the shoulder blades.
