The New Easiest Way to Share Huge Files with Anyone
There are a million cloud storage solutions out there -- we recently reviewed the six most popular such sites , in fact -- but it's still a lot harder than it should be to simply share a file with someone. Sometimes sharing files means running into file size limitations. At other times, you need to wrestle with permission and security. Isn't there just a way to upload a file and send someone a link, period? Preferably with no practical file size limitations?
Absolutely. Fyels is a painless file sharing tool that lets you drag and drop a file onto your browser and get a link you can share with your co-workers or clients. There's essentially no file limitation: The site lets you drag files up to a massive 9GB into the window.
Using Fyels could not be simpler; there's no registration required, and it's completely free. To use it, just drag a file into the minimalist interface and wait while it's copied. You'll get a URL to share, as well as a password you can use to delete the file when you're done with it. (The file will also expire on its own, though it's not clear how quickly that happens.) But clearly, the best part about Fyels is the 9GB file limit, which means you can share almost anything imaginable, including large media files.
I ran into one glitch with Fyels: It works fine with most browsers, but seemed to have a problem with Internet Explorer 9.
