The Living Remember the Dead

Jewish youths carrying Israeli flags pass the gate of Auschwitz, with its notorious inscription "Arbeit Machts Frei" ("Work Makes you Free"). The flag bearers are part of the March of the Living in Auschwitz, Poland. More than 7,000 Jews from 42 countries, including Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Polish Prime Minister Jerzy Buzek, participated in the march to commemorate the victims of the Holocaust. This year marks the 50th anniversary of the founding of the State of Israel.
