The Feedback: Weekly music updates!
(CBS) - The music just keeps on spinning today here on The Feed. So are you ready for another serving of music videos? Good, just make sure you have your crackers ready and tie on your bibs tight - this week The Feedback could get a little messy.
To start us off this week we have a cover of Lil Wayne's hit song "How to Love" that is really easy on the ears. Performed by the smooth singing R&B artist Rotimi along with Northshore Pharmacy their rendition turns the already mellow track into the perfect chill tune. Over at NotSomeKid we are big fans of Rotimi with his impressive vocals and have even interviewed him. This track will be the first single on his upcoming mixtape "While You Wait" which is expected out around the end of the summer.
Personally I'm a fan of the original Wayne track which has garnered mixed reviews, but I always felt that the laid back nature of the song was more suitable for a singer. Additionally, the highlight of this version in my opinion is the beat boxing, something I have always been fascinated by.
Next up we have an awesome music video for the song "Virgin" by Manchester Orchestra. "Virgin" is the American Indie band's third single off of their latest album "Simple Math" yet their video contains no performance shots of the band itself. The thought provoking video explores the concept that we know certain things are bad and harmful for our mind, body and soul yet we continue to partake in these actions. The music video created and designed by Ben Disinger, a student at the Rochester Institute of Technology, was created for a school project. Ben met the band at a concert and told them about his project which they loved. Now the video with its more organic feel due to its origin out of passion and creativity is the bands official music video.

Here we've got the first dubstep post for The Feedback from a group named Modestep. While this dubstep track is nothing too overpowering, you still get the solid "womp womps" you would look for in a dub track. Modestep, a four piece bass heavy band, is based out of London and was formed just last year. Sunlight is their second single, their first being "Feel Good" which faired very well on the charts in the UK.
My love for this song stems entirely from its music video. It is not every day when you get to see people that could very well be your grandparents raging and just straight up killing it in a music video. While it may not be the most appropriate video at times, seeing grandparent-esque people enjoying the life usually cut out for a much younger crowd is awesome.
