"The East" stars Alexander Skarsgard, Ellen Page, Brit Marling on bringing down big business

No corporation is off limits from attack in the new eco-terrorism thriller, "The East."

Brit Marling stars as Sarah, a government agent sent undercover to track down a bunch of young anarchists who have formed an organization called The East, whose primarily goal is to seek vengeance against corrupt businesses. "True Blood" cast member Alexander Skarsgard and Oscar nominees Ellen Page and Patricia Clarkson also star.

Marling co-wrote the film's screenplay along with director Zal Batmanglij, older brother of Vampire Weekend musician Rostam Batmanglij.

In 2009, Marling and Batmanglij spent the summer living an entirely "freegan" lifestyle, which involved eating food out of dumpsters.

"The East," which has received a mostly positive response from critics, is now playing in theaters.
