"The Bachelorette" kicks off tonight with Ashley Herbert

(CBS) Last season, Ashley Herbet was one of the woman competing for Brad Womack's heart on "The Bachelor." Now, she'll be the one giving out roses.

The 26-year-old dental student will try to find love on television once again on this season of "The Bachelorette."

Ashley Herbert is the new "Bachelorette"

On "The Bachelor," Herbert made it to the final three, but Womack sent her packing right before the season finale, where he would go on to choose Emily Maynard.

Just a few hours after the finale aired, Herbert was announced as the newest Bachelorette on "Jimmy Kimmel Live."

"I'm ready to meet 25 new guys. Bring 'em on!" Herbert told People magazine at the time.

"I'm open hearted and interested in meeting the guys," she added, "and hopefully fall in love."

"The Bachelorette" premieres tonight at 9 p.m. EDT on ABC.
