"Tell Me How This Ends"

It's a month of grim milestones in Iraq, as the war enters its sixth year and the number of U.S> soldiers killed climbs above 4,000. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.), Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) and House Minority Leader John Boehner (R-Ohio) are all out with statements marking the moment.

Pelosi says the 4,000th death is a "grim reminder if the enormous cost of war in Iraq." Reid says that the 4,000th death is "no less regrettable than the 3,999 before it or any that may yet come." Boehner says the best way to honor the fallen and their families is to "make sure the men and women of our Armed Forces come home in victory, having defeated our enemies and made America safer."
