Teen Impersonates Cop To "Free" Girlfriend

Authorities in Goochland County say a teenager who wanted to get his girlfriend out of summer school got too imaginative — by impersonating a police officer.

Sheriff James Agnew said that on Tuesday, the 17-year-old boy went to Goochland Elementary School, where all county summer school classes are held. He was dressed in plain clothes and claimed to be conducting a drug investigation.

The sheriff says the teenager told administrators that he needed to speak with a 14-year-old girl at the school.

School officials called the sheriff's office and deputies apprehended the youth on school property. The teen's parents were called to come pick him up, and he was issued a summons for trespassing.

Agnew calls the incident "a silly plan by a kid."
