Taylor Momsen quits acting
(CBS) Don't expect to see Taylor Momsen on TV or the big screen anymore.
The former "Gossip Girl" star has officially called it quits on her acting career.
"I quit acting, actually," she tells Elle magazine. "I quit 'Gossip Girl' and now tour and am in a band and that's pretty much all I want to do."
Momsen, 18, is the lead singer of the rock band The Pretty Reckless.
"Hopefully I'll be able to only do that for the rest of my life," she says.
Along with "Gossip Girl," Momsen, who had people talking in June for wearing an ultra-revealing tank top while performing at the Download Festival in Leicestershire, has also appeared in movies like "How the Grinch Stole Christmas" and "Paranoid Park."
