Stars bid Oprah farewell Last night's taping of Oprah's farewell episode was nothing short spectacular. Tom Hanks hosted the show, and was joined by many other celebrities to give the talk-show Queen a proper goodbye. Tom Cruise, Aretha Franklin, Beyonce, Michael Jordan, Maya Angelou and many others came out one by one to offer a hug coupled with laughter and tears.

One audience member shares a video of Beyonce's performance that provides a good glimpse at the energy of the show. Tweets of mixed emotions have already begun and will continue streaming in this week and next at the final episodes air.

CBS News reports that the US will allow the displaced Haitians currently living and working in the US to apply for continued protective status through January 2013. A happy Haitian Flag Day indeed.

LA Noire finally releases, tweets follow "LA Noire" has been the promoted trending tweet the beginning of this week. It was the first video game ever featured at the Tribeca Film Festival, and the trailer resides in YouTube's trending videos column.

Yeterday, the video game was finally released in North America, and the online presence of the much-anticipated game has only increased. Many are tweeting about the impressive facial capture and one of this morning's top tweets reviews the game, saying: "I'll tell you what "LA Noire" is: it's the triumphant return of the adventure game."
