Taking Care Of Grandma And Grandpa
Mèny people know how hard it can be to take care of aging parents.
But, it's not just children who are looking after their elders. Sometimes, grandchildren are.
Josh Lerman, a senior editor of Parenting magazine, descrbies it as a growing trend.
He spoke about it with co-anchor Hannah Storm on The Early Show Tuesday.
A study by The Robert Wood Johnson Foundation showed that eight percent of all adults providing care to chronically ill, disabled, or aged family members are grandchildren.
Lerman offered insight on the trend, and told how children can grow closer to and take care of their grandparents with the help of Mom and Dad.
