Sync Outlook Tasks to Remember The Milk (and Back Again)
Awesome news for folks who are locked into Outlook at work but prefer the many benefits of cloud-based task management: MilkSync syncs Outlook with Remember The Milk.
The latter, of course, is the popular Web-based task manager. MilkSync offers two-way synchronization between your Outlook and RTM task lists. It can sync automatically at 15-minute intervals, and it lets you sync all your lists or just those you choose.
The software runs in Windows and requires Outlook 2003 or later. For now, it's limited to 32-bit versions of the latter.
MilkSync is free to folks with RTM Pro accounts; everyone else can test-drive it for 15 days. Personally, I just can't bring myself to pay an annual fee for a task manager, even one as affordable as $25. On the other hand, RTM + MilkSync would finally give me a way to sync my Outlook tasks with my iPhone (by way of the RTM app). That might just be worth the price of admission.
What method do you use for managing your tasks? Have you found a reliable way to sync Outlook's crap-tastic task manager with your smartphone? Share your secrets in the comments.
