"Survivor: Redemption Island" has rare three-way tie

(CBS) So eager were members of the Zapatera tribe to rid themselves of three season contestant Russell Hantz that they actually threw an immunity/reward challenge and snapped their two-episode winning streak Wednesday night on "Survivor: Redemption Island." (SPOILER ALERT)

The result as tribal council was a rare three-way tie, engineered by the six-member majority of Zapatera to flush out any hidden immunity idols (Russell and his two gal pals were strutting around acting as if they had found one) as well as oust Russell.

With no idol played, the three targets - Ralph, Rusell and Stephanie - were disqualified from the voting and Russell was sent packing to Redemption Island.

Russell apparently saw his ouster looming but it seems he may in for a surprise when he gets to the isle of exiles. The two tribe members who witnessed the first "duel" between Francesca and Matt came back and told Russell that Francesca had won.

He won't be happy when he discovers he has to battle a much younger and stronger Matt, who is bent on revenge, to return to the game.

Those who thought the Francesca-Matt face-off was underwhelming have a lot to look forward to next week.
