Survivor: Fiji
"Survivor" is back tonight and Ravu is really feeling the strain of no water and being on the losing tribe. It's only a short time before the whole tribe start collapsing right in front of us.
But there is a beacon of light. For the first in "Survivor" history, fire is started without flint or matches, and it's done by Michelle. She starts a fire with her glasses and the tribe is so excited you would think they just won a million dollars. (Not yet kids.)
Meanwhile on camp "Has Too Much" Moto, they have enough energy to paint their shelter and feel like they are "having a party," according to Boo. I stand by my claim that I hate this tribe has so much. To me, it's so against everything "Survivor" is about.
The reward challenge is a great one this week. Each tribe member has to make their way down what looks like a slip-and-slide to grab balls and then sink them in a makeshift basketball hoop. The first team to six wins.
The winning tribe gets to pick luxury items, fishing gear or fruit. They also get to exile someone, but they will not be immune from tribal council. Let me just say that watching people take diggers during this challenge is so much fun, as long as no one gets hurt, which seems to happen to Gary, but I will get to that in a second.
Sylvia seems to be the weakest link of this challenge. She looks like she was swimming underwater. It really was a sad display and the team noticed it. Moto wins again and, of course, takes the fishing gear and exiles Sylvia.
Sylvia spends her time at exile upset that she is not bonding with her new tribe. Back at Moto, Gary seems to be having a medical emergency. He took a rough fall at the challenge and is having real bad chest pains. The medics come and check him out and tell him to rest up and see how he feels tomorrow. It's a real emotional moment and I honestly feel bad for him. He looks like he's in real pain.
The immunity challenge is an old classic revisited: the gross food challenge. Each team member will go up against a member of the other team. Whoever eats the gross food quickest wins immunity.
The gross food this time around is giant clams, octopus tentacle, fish eyes, peanut worms, sea cucumber and the most disgusting: pig snout. It's so disgusting, I can't even watch.
Boo and Rocky get into a little screaming match. Real smart, boys, make enemies this quickly with the other tribe! But it comes down to Anthony versus Gary, and even though Gary was sick he pulls through and Moto remains undefeated! I can't stand it! And it's so obvious at this point Sylvia is toast!
Tribal council is fairly straight forward. Jeff tries to stir some stuff op between Mookie and Anthony. Anthony says he feels people at the tribe don't like him too much, then Mookie goes off about Anthony.
I can't help but say, "Why?" We all know Sylvia is going home. Why would you bother to start pointless fights with people. Or so we thought. I wonder if some of these tribe members ever watched "Survivor" before.
The votes are read and it's close between Anthony and Sylvia, but tonight Sylvia goes home.
