Summer Isn't Cruel For Ace Of Base

Members of the musical group Ace of Base are from Sweden, but they sing their songs in English.

"It's easier to express yourself in English. Swedish is a simple language," says band member Jonas Berggren. The other three Ace of Bass members are his two siblings, Jenny and Linn, and Ulf Ekberg.

Their new single, Cruel Summer, is No. 11 on Billboard's pop chart, reports CBS 'This Morning' Co-Anchor Mark McEwen. The group has just released its third album.

In the last five years, Ace of Bass has sold about 29 million albums altogether. Their debut album, The Sign, has sold more than 9 million copies in the U.S. It includes the million-selling single, All That She Wants, which stayed at No. 3 on the Billboard Hot 100 for more than three months, as did the title track.

But has success spoiled Ace of Bass?

"I think our life has changed very much, but not we as persons," says Jonas. "Not that much, I will say anyway."
