Street Musician Turned Headbanger: Bashes Critic with Guitar, Say Wis. Cops
MADISON, Wis. (CBS/AP) A street musician struck a very sour note with a man who criticized his performance. The musician, apparently upset by the unfavorable review, bashed the passerby in the head with his guitar, slammed another person into a wall and wrestled with an officer before being arrested, say Madison police.
Police spokesman Joel DeSpain tells The Capital Times that 31-year-old Brandin Hochstrasser, known as "Bongo Jesus," was performing Thursday when a 54-year-old man dissed his sound. So what did "Bongo Jesus" do?
DeSpain says the two argued and Hochstrasser began hitting his critic with his guitar. Then the musician charged the man, knocking him down.
A police officer used a stun gun to subdue and arrest Hochstrasser.
No formal charges had been filed as of Sunday.
