Straight Talk From the Corner Office

Straight talk from managers is rare these days. When you see it, its like a breath of fresh air. Check out Execupundit's recent post "Note from Boss to Employees." It's a twelve-point memo that gives employees an insight into what it's like to be a manager. Here are some gems from the post:

"I may not have been given a huge amount of training before being named to a supervisory position. As a result, I’ve had to learn through trial and error. That's not always bad. Many of my responsibilities can only be learned through practice.

If you are a former co-worker of mine, please recognize that supervising former peers is one of the toughest jobs any supervisor faces. The support that you give me is crucial."

If more bosses were this open with employees, a lot more workplaces would be more enjoyable places to work!
