Stars Reveal Resolutions For 2008
For many, the promise of new year is a chance to start fresh - to correct all of the niggling habits and personal problems that have dogged them for the previous 12 months... and celebrities are no different!
For the star of "Fantastic Four," Jessica Alba, 2008 will bring her first child, but she's also hoping that the new year will see her stop worrying about her looks and figure:
"Probably not to be so judgmental of myself, I don't know I haven't thought about it much that's the first thing that comes to mind."
Indeed, self-improvement ranks high on many lists. Crooner Barry Manilow is hoping to become more patient, "Lost" actress Elizabeth Mitchell would like to read two newspapers a day, while "Vegas" actress Molly Simms is hoping to get fit and lower her stress levels.

Indeed, getting fit and healthy seems to pre-occupy a number of celebrities. Both Jack Black and "High School Musical: 2" actress Ashley Tisdale are hoping to work out more. However, as Tisdale points out, it's not easy sticking to an exercise regime:
"Last year I had been working out really well, I was going to the gym and toning up and I was like my new year's resolution is to go to the gym more. Why I said that I don't know! I was going to the gym a lot and then I stopped, no joke, cold stopped going to the gym after new year. I cannot do this, I'm not going to do this again, I don't do new year's resolutions."
The starlet isn't alone in failing to fulfill her New Year's resolution. Sharon Osbourne is another celebrity who has decided to forgo the annual disappointment of failing to live up to hastily-made promises:
"It's always about I'm going to stop spending, I'm going to stop eating chocolate, I'm going to stop, and I never do it so it's like 'no just carry on as I am' because if I'm not going to change now I'm too old to change."
But, as ever, the final word goes to socialite jailbird Paris Hilton who, unsurprisingly enough, will be looking for a new boyfriend in the coming 12 months.
"Just to be with my family and just be happy and maybe find a nice boyfriend."
