Stars Hope Tonys Sing Their Tune

Sunday night, Broadway's best will be honored at the 60th annual Tony Awards show.

"The Wedding Singer," based on the big screen comedy starring Adam Sandler and Drew Barrymore, is nominated for five, including Best Musical.

The two stars of the show, Stephen Lynch and Laura Benanti, stopped by The Early Show Friday as the excitement was building.

Lynch has a nod for Best Leading Actor in a Musical, in his debut on the Great White Way.

He joked with co-anchor Hannah Storm that he's "partying every night" in anticipation.

Doing the show, Lynch told Storm, is a "good time. We have a great time every night. Good cast. Great group of people. Beautiful songs."

The album is out now, and Lynch and Benanti say it's full of sounds of the '80s.

Lynch called it "very '80s infused. You'll recognize some of your favorite '80s artists in the music. It's still very original music."

And Benanti said she actually has sung at a wedding, though it was before she landed the part in "The Wedding Singer."
