Star Inspired Spring Haircuts

For those of us who have been suffering through the winter doldrums, there's good news. Spring is just six days away, and what better way to greet the new season than with a fresh, updated look?

The Early Show stylist David Evangelista says it's time to give into spring fever.

This spring, the good news is that there's not just one trend that we all have to follow to look au courant. All sorts of hair lengths, textures and colors are hot this spring, so it's really about finding a look that suits you and makes you feel comfortable.

On Monday morning, Evangelista offers three looks. And Estee Lauder makeup artist Jocelyn Biga does the makeup for the following three models:

Look 1: Short, Spikey and Shaggy
Model: Jackie

Keira Knightley is the inspiration for this sassy, sexy look. Her new cropped hairdo (reminiscent of Twiggy's style from the '60s) is a sophisticated and bold alternative to the long locks she sported just a few months ago.

Evangelista created a similar look on Jackie by cutting her hair quite short in the back (though longer on top), and in the front, keeping some long, messy layers that can be blown out sleekly or spiked up with a little product. Even though it's quite short, the look is incredibly versatile, and is perfect for the woman on the go who doesn't want to put a lot of effort into her hair. As for the color, Evangelista mimicked Keira Knightley's bronze highlights by painting panels of coppery color through the longer pieces of Jackie's hair.

Look 2: Rounded Bob
Model: Meg

Hollywood starlets like Kirsten Dunst and Maggie Gyllenhaal have taken to wearing their hair in a rounded bob reminiscent of 1920s flapper girls. These styles are not your stereotypical blunt bob cuts; rather, they're layered and angled so that they fall gently and frame the face instead of cutting it at harsh angles. This cut works beautifully on women with heart-shaped faces, as well as women with oval faces. And, depending on hair texture, it can be just as wash-and-wear as the first look. For the color, Evangelista lightened up Meg's deep brown hair with a few highlights, giving her hair a touch of sun.

Look 3: Boho, Long, Luxurious Locks
Model is Courtney

If you saw the stunning Giselle Bundchen at the Oscars, or if you've seen Jude Law's main squeeze Sienna Miller in the past year, you know that gorgeous, flowing gold locks are very hot these days. This spring, there's a bohemian twist to the look; stylists are slicing in long layers to ladies' manes, and working with the hair's natural texture, giving hair lots of movement and flow.

On Courtney, Evangelista added some blonde highlights to give her a light caramel color, then sliced long layers throughout her hair. To give her hair an even more bohemian look, he curls the bottom third of the hair with a large curling iron, adding bounce and texture to her already luxe locks.
