Spears, K-Fed Exes Dish On Breakups
Jason Alexander, the first husband of pop star Britney Spears (for a whirlwind 55 hours), received a phone call from Britney Spears recently and she said, "don't say anything you'd regret," Alexander said on TV's "Dr. Keith Ablow" on Monday.
Alexander said he is writing a book about his life and "a lot of stuff that hasn't been talked about."
"There was a lot of things people don't know about me and Britney," Alexander said on the talk show, adding that he's dating someone "special" now.
He said later that his whirlwind Vegas marriage to Spears has "haunted me for three years now."
Shar Jackson, Kevin Federline's former girlfriend with whom he has two kids, was also on the show and talked about K-Fed's split from the pop star. She said she assumed Federline would like custody of his children with Spears.
"He loves his kids and I'm sure he is probably, you know, scared Britney might take the kids and go back to Louisiana or go somewhere and he might not see them," she said.Photos: Britney & K-Fed
Meanwhile, Spears celebrated her 25th birthday at the Los Angeles club Hyde over the weekend with new pal Paris Hilton. Since she's been spotted out with the heiress, questions have swirled about the well-being of her children.
Jackson didn't have anything bad to say about Federline, who left her for Spears when she was pregnant with their second child.
"I mean there's no excuse for what he did … there's no excuse and no reason that is good enough. There's never gonna be that, but it happened," Jackson said.
Does Jackson think Federline got what he deserves now that Spears has filed for divorce?
"You know, it's honestly not my business and I don't wish anything bad on anybody. Unfortunately, you know, you reap what you sew and things do seem to come back around full circle … I would never find joy in someone else's heartache or pain," she said.
Alexander, who said he was in love with Spears when they married, said, "I've been a nice guy this whole time," in regards to the aftermath of their divorce.
Alexander said he felt that people close to Spears made a lot of her decisions for her.
"Totally. Definitely, the people around her had a lot of control over the decisions she makes, honestly. She's very big business," he said.
