Now comes news that a salsa dance instructor who choreographed routines for the Fox television show "So You Think You Can Dance" has been arrested and charged with sexually assaulting four women.

Prosecutors say 41-year-old Alex Da Silva was arrested at his Los Angeles home Tuesday and charged in Superior Court.

Deputy District Attorney Rosa Alarcon says Da Silva is charged with four counts of forcible rape, two counts of assault with intent to commit rape and two counts of sexual penetration by a foreign object.

Alarcon says the four alleged victims, ages 20 to 26, met Da Silva through his dance classes.

Da Silva is being held on $6.2 million bail and is scheduled to be arraigned Wednesday. No attorney for Da Silva was listed on the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department Web site, and messages left for Alarcon were not immediately returned.

Da Silva faces up to life in prison if convicted.
