The rapper was stopped at 3 a.m. at a checkpoint located in Sierra Blanca, a small town outside of El Paso, Texas, police tell E! News.

While conducting a routine search, the officers say they smelled a strong odor of marijuana and decided to do a more thorough inspection, reports the site. A police dog found a prescription bottle containing joints, in addition to two other containers of pot weighing a total of .13 pounds, reports E!.

The 40-year-old was cited for misdemeanor drug possession and detained, but was released and openly admitted that the marijuana was his.
