Small Bizeo: A New Tool to Find and Research Small Businesses for Sale
So you're not a business owner yet -- but you're ready to be. Or perhaps you're looking to add a franchise to your growing empire. Whatever the case, Small Bizeo is worth a look.
This new service hosts a database of more than 8,000 existing businesses that are for sale across the United States. Just choose an industry (anything from Accommodation to Wholesale), then pick your desired state. Small Bizeo shows you a list of all matches, each with the business name, location, asking price, cash flow, and date it was listed. Take a look:
You can refine the results based on some or all of the aforementioned criteria. Small Bizeo can also show you only those businesses with seller financing, businesses that are relocatable, and home-based businesses.
To get more information about a particular business, you must at least sign up for a free Small Bizeo Basic account. This entitles you to search the database, connect to brokers, and watch videos.
If you want the real meat of the site, however, including research reports on over one hundred franchises, reports on small-business industries, franchise disclosure documents, and other goodies, you need a Premium account. That runs $500 annually if you prepay, but you can also subscribe for $100 monthly.
Worth it? Although you may be able to come by some or all of the same information elsewhere, there's much to be said for the convenience of Small Bizeo's database and the breadth of its business reporting. If nothing else, it's worth a look as you start investigating businesses you might want to buy.
