While many of us use Skype recreationally to chat with fellow Skypers around the globe, you can also pay a little bit of money to turn your Skype account into a cheap phone line while you're travelling on business or on a working vacation. For about $4 a month, you can get a SkypeIn account with free incoming calls that comes with a phone number of the area code and digits of your choosing. That allows colleagues to reach you over Skype simply by dialing from an ordinary phone, or you could setup your business line forward calls to your SkypeIn number. And if you're too busy taking a dip in the pool to answer the computer, the call will be sent to your free voicemail account.
