Sheehan Takes Protest To Bush's Home

Around 50 people joined anti-war activist Cindy Sheehan as she led a brief protest Monday afternoon near former President George W. Bush's Dallas home.

Sheehan's 21-year-old son, Casey, was killed in the war in Iraq. She staged a prolonged demonstration outside Bush's ranch near Crawford, Texas, in 2005. She said her issues with Bush didn't end with his presidency.

The demonstration was organized by the Dallas Peace Center and focused on opposition to the Iraq and Afghanistan wars and government-sponsored torture, according to the Dallas Morning News.

Protesters met at an intersection and then walked about a mile to an elementary school across from Bush's new home. Sheehan carried a sign that read, "For what noble cause."

The event brought out about a dozen people protesting the protest and about two dozen members of the media. Bush supporters carried signs that said "Pro Bush" and "Go Home Cindy."

Sheehan was in Dallas to promote her book, Myth America: 10 Greatest Myths of the Robber Class and the Case for Revolution, reports the Morning News.
