Share Your Desktop (and More) with YuuGuu

If you've ever been on a conference call with clients or co-workers and wished they could see what's on your screen (say, a new product schematic or project spreadsheet), check out YuuGuu. It's part instant-messaging client, part Web-conferencing tool, and part remote-access/sharing utility.

On the IM side, YuuGuu works much like AOL Instant Messenger or Yahoo Messenger: You add contacts, see who's online, chat with them, etc. You can let remote users see what's on your screen and even take control of your PC if desired (meaning YuuGuu can actually double as a remote-tech-support tool). YuuGuu also provides remote access to your own PC, not unlike LogMeIn (my personal favorite) and similar utilities. Unlike the free version of LogMeIn, however, YuuGuu supports file transfers.

The software, currently in beta, is available for both Windows and Mac systems. A future revision will allow desktop sharing with users who don't have YuuGuu installed on their machines. [via Download Squad]
