Shamrya Rojas Missing: New Jersey college student believed to be traveling with ex-boyfriend, officials say

(CBS) -- Police are now searching for a 20-year-old New Jersey woman who was last seen Monday in the parking lot of her college campus, the Nutley Sun reports.

Shamrya Rojas was last seen at the New Jersey Institute of Technology in Newark around 4 p.m., police said. Her car, purse and cell phone were left at campus. Rojas' mother reported her missing when she didn't return home that evening.

Officials said they believe Rojas is traveling the New Jersey or New York City area with her ex-boyfriend, 18-year-old Ahmed Hassan Dar, the Nutley Sun reported. The two may be using public transportation to travel around.

Rojas was last seen wearing blue jeans, gray Ugg boots, a long-sleeved gray sweater and a white tee shirt. She is described to be 5'1'' and weighs about 140 pounds. Dar is described to be 5'10,''and weighs 140 pounds and has brown hair and eyes.
