Send a Text-Message Reminder with oh, don't forget
There are lots of ways to get reminders. Online to-do-list services like Remember The Milk, for instance, can send scheduled reminders via e-mail, SMS, or instant message. And then there's HassleMe, which sends repeating reminders via e-mail at specified intervals. But for sheer speed and simplicity, it's hard to beat oh, don't forget, which sends a text-message reminder to any cell phone at any designated date and time.
All you do is enter the recipient's 10-digit phone number (this can be your own number or a spouse's, co-worker's, etc.), a date and time for delivery, and the actual message you want to send ("Don't forget, boss's birthday today," or whatever). Click Submit and you're done.
Oh, don't forget is a free service, though standard SMS rates apply for the recipient. Small wonder it made Time's list of the 50 best Web sites of 2007.
